Gridlock
Four New York City counties top U.S. News and World Report’s ranking of U.S. cities with the worst mean travel times to work: Richmond (S.I.), Queens, Bronx and Kings (Brooklyn). New York County (Manhattan) ranks 24 out of 50. Nassau ranks 11th, which doesn’t surprise me, given the number of people who drive to the LIRR, then take the subway when they get off the commuter rail.
Snohomish (44 out of 50) is the only Washington county that made the list.
